Thanks to the committee for the invite and they hosted the show well, a lovely venue and were great hosts to the judges. The weather was really wild and heard the ferry crew say it was one of the worst journeys they had experienced in a crossing. My sincere thanks to everyone who travelled to this show, but especially to those that were on the ferry. All dog temperaments were good and only one had the wrong bite. You might think this isn't important, but it is.
MPD (1) 1 Wakker's Shaytaan Doctor Watson At Ceannabeinne (Imp Can). A lovely white coloured 9 mth old puppy boy, a bit loose in front movement but to be expected in a young dog, liked his head and eye shape, he has a proper oval shaped eye, his topline was good leading to correct tail set and carriage, good pasterns and moved well in the ring. It was a long day for him but he coped well. Lots to like. BPD, BPIB.
JD (1) 1 Fraser & Greenland's Rajarani Raphael. Blk/white, 14 mth old young boy, still with lots of maturing to do (as it should be) this is a slow maturing breed. Good reach of neck leading to good shoulders with good angulation, moved well on what was a slippy floor in sections. Very attentive to his handler. Head looked good with correct eye shape and expression, holding good body weight.
PGD (1) 1 Kirkpatrick's Deshkas Blackjack. Blk/white 6 yr old young boy, fully matured in good coat and condition, moved well from side view and good to watch coming and going, had a good topline and tail carriage, fox brush tail, would prefer his head to be foxier, had good shaped feet and correct sloping pasterns.
LD (1) 1 Cunningham's Icebex Show Me The Money. Grey/white, young boy of 22 mths, still to mature but well muscled and with a lovely temperament, good reach of neck, held topline well whilst on the move, good length of loin, correct tail set and pasterns, good body weight, liked this boy and worthy of the Res DCC.
OD (4) 1 Sutherland's Icynight's Uigeadail. 7 yr old blk/white boy who I have judged before and today he still didn't disappoint. Moved well enough in a difficult ring, good head and eye shape, correct bite, love his ear set and used them well, good eye shape and beautiful expression, good ratio of leg length to body, he is balanced which shows in his movement, super temperament, was delighted to award him the DCC and BOB. He moved delightfully in the large ring for the Group and was handled to perfection. 2 Cunningham's Icebex The First Avenger JW. Grey/white boy, 5 yrs old, who was a bit reserved, well muscled and good angulation, held topline well and correct tail set and carriage, good sloping pasterns which is needed on a working breed. In good body weight and coat condition was good, liked his head shape and good eye shape, correct bite which is a scissor bite. 3 Davidson & Ralston's Sassicaia Buzz The Fuzz.
PB (1) 1 Jones & Mihulkas' Shaytaan Devils Dust At Icynights (Imp Can). Grey/white young girl of 10 mths with a lot of maturing to do. Has correct head and ear set with lovely expression, good tight lips, correct bite, held topline on the move, correct carriage and tail set good, lovely shaped feet and correct pasterns, in good coat condition and body weight, looks out of balance just now but she will get there just needs time. Moved well in a difficult ring.
JB (1) 1 John's Alepenkye Special Kay. 16 mth blk/white baby, lots of maturing to do but lots to like, super head and ear set, she has the sweetest expression, moved ok and angulation good, holding good body weight, coat and condition very good, sound movement coming and going and good on the side gait, well shaped feet, handled well and pushed hard for the Res BCC.
PGB (4) 1 Wakker's Icynight's Sparkle In The Mist At Ceannabienne. Blk/white youngster at nearly 3 yrs, good angulation and moved well, good feet and sloping pasterns, lovely head and ears which she used well, held topline well on the move, excellent tail set and carriage, good bite, delighted to award her Res BCC. 2 Cunningham's Icebex Yippee Ki Yay. 22 mth old blk/white girlie, good ratio in height and body length, unusual coat pattern, good sloping pasterns, moved well, good head and oval eye shape, goot bite, well muscled and in good condition. 3 Hughes' Siberdrift Hallows Shine JW.
LB (2) 1 John's Alepenkye Special Kay. 2 Cunningham's Azgard Tango With Snowpawz. 2 yr old grey/white youngster, well muscled, good angulation, moved ok, held topline well, good length of loin, good tail set and carriage, beautiful head and good ear set, lovely facial markings, good sloping pasterns.

In good coat and condition, well muscled, good topline leading to good tail set and carriage, good foxy tail, good shoulders and good angulation, moved well, good pasterns and well shaped feet, beautiful expression and correct eye shape, lovely foxy head, delighted to award her the BCC. 2 Cunningham's Icebex In The Valley Of Elah. Love her name, lovely 4 yrs old grey/white girl with good bite and well shaped eye, lovely expression and good head, used her ears well, in good coat condition and muscled well, moved alright in a difficult ring.

I was very pleased with the entry and, as I did the last time I judged the breed, found it pleasantly surprising just how many Huskies of the type and quality that fits my general interpretation of the breed standard can be mustered in the UK. My compliments to the clever breeders and exhibitors. MPD (4) 1 Cwnhapus Utipia. Puppy with excellent length of leg who comes into his own in movement. Quality head, obviously puppyish, attractive expression. Long neck. Moderately angulated in front. Strong topline. Correct coat quality. Very supple, light on his feet and well co-ordinated in movement. 2 Arcticskies Mirror Image. Masculine dog, more mature that the winner. Excellent, well set ears. Strong neck. Acceptable length of leg, somewhat longer in body than the winner and not quite as firm in topline when standing, but he firmed up and showed a pleasing silhouette on the move. Sound both ends. Excellent coat quality. 3 Cwnhapus Svargaloka. PD (4) 1 Arcticskies Mirror Image. 2 Zaltana Mr Blue Sky At Lolotea. Typey dog with obvious quality. Well proportioned head which needs to grow on in size. Beautiful eyes, very good ears. Long neck with an attractive nape. Very good layback of upper arm. Somewhat long in his couplings. Well angulated behind. Needs to stabilise in movement, especially from behind, but moved well from the side. Beautiful coat. 3 Jacalous Thinking Out Loud For Siberiadrift. JD (3) 1 Winter Melody Perfect Trouble. Masculine, well grown dog. At this time rather long in body and somewhat tubular in shape, but he has correct length of leg. Typical head with pleasing proportions and profile. Somewhat wide-set ears. Excellent neck, good front. Typical feet. Enough depth of chest for his age. Very pleasing coat. Easily the best side mover in the class, acceptable coming and going. 2 Jacalous Thinking Out Loud For Siberiadrift. Well coupled dog with pleasing proportions. With hardly any stop, his expression is somewhat foreign to me. Beautiful neck, good return of upper arm. Attractive coat. Moved wide as seen from behind, medium well from the side. 3 Zaltana Midnight Express. YD (2, 1) 1 Red Hot Lover Legend Of The Spirit. Very powerful dog, bordering on over-dimentioned. Typical, powerful all-male head with excellent pigmentation and eye colour for a brown. Strong neck. Plenty of forechest and depth. I would like him somewhat stronger in topline and his tail could be higher set. The very ample coat adds to the impression of him being too much overall. Normal, sound mover. PGD (1) 1 Arcticbaikal Black Wizard. A rather rangy, teenager looking dog who still has a lot of development to do at the age of three, particularly in volume of body. Attractive head and expression, even if I would not like his muzzle any longer. Normal neck. Coat not in optimal condition on the day. A very happy mover, moved light on his feet and effortless from the side with moderate drive, rather bow-legged as viewed from behind. LD (8, 1) 1 Pelenrise Brite Encounters JW ShCM. A very proper Siberian Husky, just the type I am looking for, easy on the eye, especially in movement where he scores heavily on suppleness and balance. Very attractive head and expression. Medium long neck, well set. Well angulated both ends. The best mover in the class and indeed one of the very best movers in the whole entry. Not at all in optimal coat condition on the day, but what was left had pleasing structure. I see from the catalogue that he is a litter brother to the BOB winner in the next class. 2 Zaltana Direwolf At Lolotea. A bigger dog, I would not have liked him any more powerful than this. Same thing goes for his head, which fits the rest of him. Lovely reach of neck. Well angulated front. Attractive body proportions with good length of leg. Another who scored in movement as he has plenty of energy and strength, still not quite as impressive as the winner. 3 Azzurra Wilderness Spirit Avec Nosregor. OD (13, 2) A very competitive class, I would have been more than happy to award several CCs among them - my definition of fun! Still the first two stood out for proportions and outline, and they were not easy to separate. It therefore makes sense to compare them in this critique; both score in length of leg and well coupled bodies, slightly rectangular in their body proportions and lovely outlines. Both have beautiful heads, ears and expressions. Both have crested necks that adds so much to their thoroughbred looks. Both have balanced angulation both ends and both stand very well over their sound legs. The winner scored in coat condition on the day and is even more athlethic than the winner, especially in the front, but both are outstanding side movers, with plenty of forward action, handsome, smooth, supple and very well balanced. Both of them are a bit proud of their tails in movement, the second more so than the winner. Unfortunately I only had one CC to award. 1 Ch Pelenrise Brite Knight JW ShCM, CC & BOB. I was interested to see that the apple did not fall too far from the tree as I have previously awarded CCs to both his parents. 2 Esquimaux Chase The Ace At Mytilene, Res CC. 3 Int Lux Ire NI Ch Shimani Iceman JW Ire Jun Ch AWTD. MPB (8, 2) 1 Siberiadrift Adrian's Star Of Zimavolk. Just six months old on the day, but already a beauty, if still of course immature. Well proportioned bitch of excellent type and quality. Typical head and expression. Excellent ears. Attractive neck. Good length of leg and matching body length contributing to her lovely outline. She stood very firmly over her legs and feet. Excellent coat quality. With some assistance the handler managed to make her move well, light on her feet, smooth and sound, but some more practice would not go amiss. 2 Arcticskies Pure Diamond. Older bitch who also moved light on her feet and well co-ordinated. Attractive type. Some more stop might give her a more classical head and expression. Very well constructed in front. Her topline could be firmer while standing, but improved in movement. Pleasing coat. 3 Arcticskies Got It Flaunt It. PB (11, 1) 1 Winter Melody She Wolf. A truly beautiful bitch puppy of superb type and overall appearance, she's got it all! Feminine and elegant, still substantial. Excellent head and expression. Ideal length of leg and length of body. Lovely neck, crested and well set. Ideal topline with a beautiful flow of lines both standing and moving. Well angulated both ends. Lovely coat. She really wowed me on the move; just the ideal balance with perfect carriage of neck and tail, so supple, smooth, effortless, sound and co-ordinated, single-tracking coming and going. She impressed more than enough to win the CC and Best Puppy. 2 Jacalous Amazing Grace. Another impressive bitch puppy with excellent proportions and outline. Not quite the head and expression of the winner. Attractive neck. Balanced angulation both ends. She moved effortlessly, smooth and with elegance. Lovely coat, very well presented. 3 Siberiadrift Adrian's Star Of Zimavolk. JB (6) 1 Jacalous Amazing Grace. Very attractive. 2 Arcticskies Fallen Angel At Snowglade. Well made bitch with excellent proportions. Beautiful head, well placed ears. Strong neck. Her outline and proportions make her a classical Husky. She moved with precision and soundness. Not in optimal coat condition on the day and could do with some harder muscles. It would be time well spent to get her into ship shape condition. 3 Haniya Of Sniego Sunys. YB (4, 2) 1 Siberiadrift Hallows Shine JW. Attractive bitch with a particularly lovely head and expression. Strong neck. Just enough length of leg for balance. Acceptable topline, but somewhat longer than my ideal. Very beautiful coat. Well handled, she moved with drive and effortlessness. 2 Kobuk Snow Fall. Big, strong bitch, should be more feminine, not my idea of breed type. Strong neck. Balanced angulation. Lacked undercoat which did not improve her overall appearance. PGB (5, 1) 1 Siberiadrift Golden Fenix With Nosregor. Bitch of attractive proportions and type. Typical head, expression and ears. Normal neck. Good length of leg. Reasonably attractive topline even if falling away more than ideal. Pleasing coat. Moved with normal soundness, if not spectacular on the move. 2 Arcticskies Heaven Sent With Nosregor. Powerful bitch with a compact body. Strong, yet feminine in head. Ears are rather wide-set. Strong neck, good front. Deep chest, sufficient length of leg. Could be somewhat firmer in topline. The best side mover in the class, but too wide as viewed from behind. 3 Zaltana Raindrop's On Roses At Lolotea. LB (10, 5) 1 Amical Tikia JW ShCM. Well proportioned brown bitch, all over very moderate, but everything in balance. Typical, very expressive head. Strong neck. Very sound front, moderately angulated. Short, firm topline, shapely. Attractive coat. Even with her very moderate angulation behind, she is very well balanced and smooth on the move, even if I would have preferred her to stride out more. 2 Hyperborea Tantum Glittering Violet. Large bitch, more rangy, she is very eyecatching, especially standing. Typical head. Attractive neck. She covers plenty of ground, and I would not want her any longer. Acceptable, if not optimal coat on the day. She move on par with the winner. 3 Ninlil Of Poliarine Arktika Over Zanjelic JW ShCM. OB (12, 3) Another impressive open class, even if in general not up to the male equivalent. 1 Ch Jacalous Ice Diamond. A high quality, feminine bitch with excellent length of leg. Her feminine head excelled in details like attractive, obliquely set eyes and lovely medium sized ears, but is still a little foreign to my ideal. Long, well set neck. Balanced angulation in front and behind. Firm topline. Attractive coat. She moved very smooth and supple with excellent carriage of head, well balanced and with a flow of lines, but with her tail at times carried somewhat sideways. In all a top notch bitch. Res CC. 2 Amical Liliac At Sabakazure. A very well balanced bitch with excellent proportions standing. Powerful head, still feminine. Lovely arch of neck. She stood very firmly over her legs and feet. Acceptable coat on the day. Moderately angulated behind. She kept her attractive balance at all times on the move and moved light on her feet, but I would prefer some more drive. 3 Ch Jacalous Fire And Desire At Lyfearon JW ShCM.

Thank you to the Committee for inviting me to judge at the show, and to my fantastic steward for her effortless commitment, ensuring all ran smoothly, and having such a smiley cheerful face throughout. I can honestly say this was one of my most enjoyable judging appointments. Quality of the dogs was quite outstanding, and temperaments great, and although a few were in full moult, all were in good bodily condition, and presented beautifully. I came away feeling heartened to see so many wonderful Siberians conforming to the standard. Thank you for a marvellous entry. MPD (2,1) 1. Wynne, Mydisa Golden Ticket. 7 month old blue eyed grey, with lovely outline for one so young. Head rather long in muzzle at moment but should balance out with skull when mature. Correct bone for age, and well constructed with correct angulation. Well set and carried tail. Good ground covering stride. Promising. PD. (4,1) 1. Redwood, Norste Dogwood. A lovely white of correct proportions. Really super head, foxy, and with lovely almond eyes and correct ear set. Good length of neck, leading to good well laid shoulders. Good front already, with enough width. Good length of ribcage and taut loins. Correct rear angulation and tail set and carriage. When settled showed really good movement. Liked this pup a lot. 2. Walker, Shaytaan's Doctor Watson at Ceannabeinne. Imp Can. Another really nice white of slightly heavier proportions. Well balanced head with naughty expression. Good length of neck, reasonably angulated, slightly steep in upper arm at moment but he is young, and has time. Super coat and condition. Well carried tail, took time to settle but looks promising. 3. Seward, Elleonia Simply Perfect. JD. 1. McCarroll and Logan, Alepenkye Lucky Charm. 17 month old black and white, of super quality. Stood alone but really deserved his placing. I really rated this youngster, super head in all aspects. Beautiful outline, with correct angulation. Good length of neck, and good top line with slight slope to croup, and correct length of ribcage, with correct tuck up. Correct ratios throughout. Good tail set. He needs more training to get the best out of him, but shows excellent movement. One to watch. YD. (2) 1. Alepenkye Lucky Charm. 2. Anderson, Shamsky Ee'Lahn Oldany at Uriakin. Another nice one, both really nice dogs in this class. Just preferred front on first at this moment in time. Foxy face with good balance and well set eyes and ears. Really good ratios throughout and excellent rear angulation. Well set and carried tail. Movement was a pleasure to watch and handler got best out of him. Nice dog. PGD (5,1). 1. Fitzpatrick and Lawrence, Shamsky Ee'L'ahn Arran of Alascotia. Litter brother to 2nd in Yearling. Similar comments but preferred front on this lad which balanced his rear. A smaller boy but within standard and extremely good movement. When standing showing slight fall away to Top line. Handler needs to stop him looking up at her and to look forward as this is not a structural fault. Lovely boy. 2. Rodgers, Jedisibes Dark Expresso. A well balanced chap, heavier in bone, hopefully this will not increase more. He has everything as it should be, and a most appealing head. Lovely almond well set eyes and good ear set. Really good movement. 3. Wakker. Zarchenski Mist A Zeehond at Ceannabeinne. LD. (8,1). Fabulous class. Lots of quality. Good dogs went down the line. 1. Grisbrooke. Asgard Glock. He came and he conquered! Super dog in all respect. What I am looking for in a good Sibe. Real quality 2 year old. Oozes quality. Lovely grey with super nature excellent head with perfect eyes, long neck and excellent angulation fore and aft. The most super ground covering movement which was a pleasure to watch. Eating up the ground with no effort. Good tail set and carriage. If I had to fault him I would say slightly long in loin. I really loved this chap. Later awarded him. CC. 2. Redwood, Rigrunner Jubilee Flotilla, unlucky to meet winner, another super exhibit. Really foxy head, super shape throughout. Smaller chap than 1st, but totally within standard. Really ex eye shape and set, and correct neck length and lay of shoulder. Good front and well angulated. Correctly set hocks and slightly sloping pasterns. Tail held little tighter than I prefer. Super ground covering movement. 3 Winter and Unwin, Nashanessen's Dirty Harry at Snowtrekka. JW. ShCM. Another nice dog. OD. (6) 1. Redwood Ch. Rigrunner Slider. Some super dogs coming from this kennel. Superb white, who I have long admired. Now 7 and looking great. He has matured so well. Every inch a Champion. My only comment is he is a little submissive. Excellent head. Super bodily construction of correct ratios. Which shows when he moves, excellent coat and condition. Loved him. Later took RCC. 2. Anderson, Glenbranter Summat Hot for Uriakin. Super dog. Really liked him. Let himself down on the move today by weaving. Lovely example of the breed. Very well balanced and with good angles. Foxy cheeky face, super eyes for set and shape and good ear set. Excellent front. Taut loin and good tuck up. Good tail carriage. Well turned hocks and slight slope to pasterns. Should do well, only 4 years. Plenty of time. 3. Davis, Zillverani Gypsy Triad. ShCM. Another dog I have long admired. Let himself down today. MPB (6,2) 1. Norman, Skimarque Margarita. The most beautiful red pup. So feminine and elegant. Very foxy face with super eye shape and set and ear size and set. Long neck leading to well placed shoulders. Correct upper arm. Good length to ribcage and slightly flattened on sides. Good leg length and ratios. Lovely brush tail held in sickle curve. Moved like a dream. Loved this pup. Should have great future.Later Best Puppy in Breed. 2. Wynne, Mydisa Golden Deelishus, lovely bitch, excellent make and shape. Very well balanced for one so young. Good angles and ratios throughout. Tail held slightly too much over and pasterns little straight at moment they will improve as she grows. Really good movement. Should have good future. 3. Mydisa Golden Night Fury. PB. (8,2) 1. Robinson Norste Zinnia Qannik among Rigrunner. Beautiful white of great quality. These lovely youngsters bode well for the future of our breed. So well balanced for one of only 10 months. Foxy face with correct stop, super eyes and well set ears. Good strong neck and excellent angulation for and aft. Correct ratios body depth to length. Pasterns still a little straight. Well laid hocks. Good tail set. Moved a bit erratically but settled later. 2. Shaw, Norste Kanik Iris. Another lovely girl, litter sister to above. Similar attributes. Just preferred rear assembly on first, but still a lovely pup. Super coat. 3. Seward, Elleonia Perfect Dream. Another nice one! JB (3)1. McInnes,Hushwing Happy Feet at Inneska. JW. Lovely elegant wolf grey of quality. Maybe tad long in muzzle at moment but this will change as she matures. Piercing blue eyes which make them appear round but on close inspection they are quite well shaped. Beautifully balanced with lovely outline. Good angulation throughout and virtually perfect ratios. Playing her handler up a little on the move and at times she moved a little close behind. However I could not deny her her place. Should have good future. 2. Shaw, Norste Kanguyak. Another nice young white only 10months. This is another related to previous winners, showing good promise. Balanced throughout with good angulation. Lovely head with good eye shape and set and well set ears. Lovely coat thick and double already. Movement a bit erratic but she is only young. Nice girl. 3. Spruce, Mystic Wolf Maicoh. YB (3,1)1. Fitzpatrick and Lawrence, Shamsky Ee'lahn Oronsay of Alascotia. Lovely well balanced grey, who took my eye, with her super outline. Foxy head with good expression, well shaped and set eyes which give that correct look. Really well angulated, which showed when she moved. Lovely sweep to stifle, neat hocks and correct tight feet. Really well handled which showed her off to her best. Good future I predict. 2. Spruce, Mystic Maicoh, Nice all round girl with good bone. Lacks muscle. Pretty head with correct eyes and ears. Correct ratios throughout and moved really well. Will be interested to see how she developed. Excellent coat. PGB. (10,2) Fantastic class, and exhibitors had to work hard to bring out the best in their dogs. Really liked so many. 1. Wakker, Icynights Sparkle in the Mist at Ceannabeinne. What a terrific Sibe, everything I look for. Great type, excellent medium bone, super structure, and that free and easy light-footed gait. She is so standard fitting and is in great condition. Excellent muscling. Graceful, elegant, but powered round the ring. Loved her. Later took RCC against strong competition. 2. Norman, Skimarque Anna Pavlova. Another super Sibe, preferred head on first, quite different, but equally standard fitting. She took 2nd place over the others on her outstanding movement. Really attractive girl with lots to like about her. Nice acceptable head with super shaped eyes and correct stop. Long neck, leading to correctly angled shoulders. Excellent front of correct width and overall good ratios to body. Lovely brush tail carried well. When she moved she really showed her super construction off. Excellent handling. She could easily get overlooked, but at 5, should do really well. 3. Winter and Unwin, Snowtrekka Bewitched. JW. Another super girl. LB (7)A really hard class full of quality. 1. Jones and Mihulka, Icynight's Too Hot To Handle. Super! Text book bitch full of quality. Very striking and lovely to go over. She is even better than she looks from the ringside, markings can be so deceiving. Really foxy head with excellent eyes correct stop and ear carriage. Ears are really thick and furry. Appears rather compact from a distance but actually totally correct proportions with sufficient leg length. Powered round ring with super gait. If I offer any criticism it is that handler should try to slow her down to enable us to view more easily her correct stride. In super coat and condition. 2. Norman, Skimarque Snowfall Lacie. A bitch I have long admired, so unlucky to meet winner. In pristine condition. She floated round the ring like a snowflake, so precise and light footed, eating up the ground. Prettiest of heads, with perfect features. Well balanced would just prefer a tad more leg for perfection. Good angulation and correct hocks and pasterns, and tight feet. Lovely brush tail held in perfect sickle. 3. Rigrunner Clamshell. Another favourite of mine! OB (8) 1. Robinson and Platter, Rigrunner Jubilee Flypast. JW. Outstanding! 4 years old and at her very best. A superb bitch in most respects if I really had to find fault I would just prefer her tail not held quite as over, but she is so what I look for in a Sibe. These do not come along that often. Perfect head and inquisitive expression and lovely eyes. Near perfect angulation and body proportions. Great balance. Perfect hock placement and slightly bent pasterns. Absolutely outstanding movement. In incredible muscled condition. Loved her. Later awarded her cc and BOB. 2. Carmichael, Glenbranter Summat Else. Nearly 4 and has a super head with correct eyes and ear placement giving her a super foxy expression. Could not fault her really, just not quite the outline of 1. Well angulated and good leg length to back ratios. Good croup, and tail set. Moved really well, with light-footed ground covering stride. 3. Leigh and Loops, Forstal's Shuska. Unlucky here today, super girl.
